Wedding On A Budget: 3 Cost Factors To Consider While Setting Up A Wedding Budget
Planning a wedding on a budget is no easy task. Above all, you should start with setting up a practical expectation of your wedding budget.
Every bride has how their wedding should look like in her mind. But turning all those into reality need compromise when you have a tight wedding budget to work around with. Remember, you are starting new a life, there are more important things in your life you would rather spend your money on.
Having a budget wedding is all about planning. Plan it right, your big day will be just as special as you would have spent a million bucks.
When it comes to setting up a wedding budget, there are 3 things will largely decide how much your expense is going to be. I have them listed below:
1. Wedding Formality:
Is your wedding going to be formal or informal? If you choose to have an informal wedding, your wedding cost is generally lesser. That is simply because you can eliminate some of the things that are required by a formal wedding or go with cheaper alternatives. In this case, you will have more flexibility to control your spending.
2. Wedding Theme:
It’s not necessary the theme itself that cost more or less, it’s how you will carry it out that makes the difference. For example, a princess theme wedding, your wedding cost will drastically differ if you were to have it in Disney vs. your own backyard. So while you are planning it, try to be realistic about how much you can spend. The bottom line is you can have the any theme wedding you want, just be creative in finding ways to reduce the wedding cost, don’t go overboard.
3. Wedding Scale:
Have you thought about how many guests you are going to invite yet? This could be a major cost factor. Think about inviting 500 people vs. 50, you will need to order more food, drinks, and gifts among other things. And if you are inviting out-of town guests, you need to think about who is going to pay for their accommodation. Things add up very quickly. So look at your guests list, think twice about who you must include.
